ASU’s responsibility to follow the rules of the NCAA and Pac-12 is not limited to its administrative staff, coaches, and student-athletes. That responsibility is held by all of ASU’s athletics stakeholders, including its fans, donors, season ticket holders, and other athletics representatives. NCAA legislation places specific restrictions on the activities in which such stakeholders (called “representatives of ASU’s athletics interests” or more commonly, “boosters”) can engage on behalf of or for the benefit of ASU. The legislation also holds ASU and our student-athletes responsible for their actions. For these reasons, Sun Devil Athletics asks supporters of Sun Devil Athletics to help protect our interests and the eligibility of our student-athletes.
